About Ormesa Geothermal Complex
The Ormesa Geothermal Complex Energy Project is an existing geothermal project located in Imperial County, California that will provide approximately 35 MW of long-term geothermal supply of renewable energy to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Imperial Irrigation District. SCPPA entered into a 25-year contract with Ormat for deliveries beginning November 30, 2017.
Fiscal Year 2017-2018
For a portion of this fiscal year, Ormesa delivered 176,799 MWhs, realizing a 58% annual net capacity factor.
SCPPA serves its Members by operational efficiencies and cost savings through the joint procurement and financing of projects, value-added services, and providing collaborative advocacy.
